Arsenal will host Everton on Sunday afternoon at Meadow park in a 3pm kick off (local time)

Arsenal will go into the fixture looking to get back to winning ways in all competitions against Everton after a disappointing performance in the Champions League against Barcelona which saw them beaten 4-1. However in the league Arsenal will be looking to maintain their perfect start, after beating Aston Villa 4-0 the last Saturday thanks to goals from Mana Iwabuchi, Katie McCabe and a brace from Kim Little, who is in brilliant form scoring 4 goals in the last two WSL games will be looking to add to that tally. Other players that could be influential in this game could be Tobin Heath who came on against Villa and had provided the assist for Mana Iwabuchi’s goal last week. It’s worth noting that Arsenal have kept a clean sheet in all but one league game Jen Beattie is currently Arsenal highest scoring defender in ShePlays.

Everton will be looking to travel to Arsenal and continue their winning form after beating Reading 3-0 last week with goals from Danielle Turner, Claire Emslie, and Anna Anvegard. This victory was their second in the league so far after losing the first two games against Chelsea and Manchester City and placed Everton 8th in the league. The task of stopping a free scoring Arsenal will not be easy and defenders such as Rikke Sevecke will need to be in top form in a game which may see them not control Possession. Everton also have attacking threat and Anna Anvegard will be looking to add to her goal tally.

Arsenal will be without Malin Gut (ACL) and Simone Boye (knee injury) for this fixture, but it will not be any surprises if Eidevall decides to rotate due to the Champions league fixture coming on Thursday.

Everton will be without Nicoline Sorensen (ACL) for this game, however in a Press conference this week Willie Kirk explained that Everton have a number of players that are in doubt. That there has been a bad run with consistency but these players could still play so wouldn’t name any of those players.
