Today, we are going to look at which players have logged the highest percentage of the total fantasy points on their respective (real life) teams. This can help us determine which players have the most consistently high level of production, which in turn gives some insight into which players have the highest “floor” on a week-to-week basis for Fantasy NWSL. In short, these should be some of the most reliable players in FNWSL.
Through eight rounds, 18 players have scored at least 10% of the total fantasy points logged by their NWSL teams. Here’s the list:

There aren’t too many big surprises on this list, but let’s take a look at a few players. The leader by far is Lynn Williams, who is approaching “must have” territory in FNWSL and is probably the highest-priority transfer this week if you don’t yet have her on your team. If you’re in a situation where you want to take two weeks to set up the transfer (i.e. freeing up some money for next week), this is probably the round to do it as she and Gotham have a difficult road game in Washington on Sunday.
I discussed Strom, Emslie, and da Silva last week as differential options, and this list shows that they are three of the highest-value FNWSL players as well. If you’re looking to save some of your budget, perhaps in order to transfer in a third $400k player, they are the three options I’d consider first.
Perhaps the most surprising name on this list is Trinity Rodman. Over the last couple of seasons, the fantasy points in Washington, especially the goal scoring, have been pretty evenly split up between Rodman and the Ashleys (new band name?). This decentralization has made each of the three a little less valuable in FNWSL, but with Rodman currently logging the third-highest percentage of team points (and Hatch not too far behind her in 9th), it helps prove that Rodman is worth her premium cost in FNWSL.
Next week, we will flip the script and take a look at this data from a team-by-team perspective!
