Last week, we reviewed which players are scoring the highest percentage of their NWSL teams’ fantasy points. That method is one good way to identify which players have the highest floor for points each week. We can also look at which teams have the most concentrated fantasy scoring, which can identify some less commonly owned players that also have high floors.

In FNWSL, you’re allowed to have four players from any given team, so let’s take a look at what percentage of each NWSL team’s fantasy points have been scored by their top four FNWSL scorers:

Club% of Points by Top 4
Spirit42.16%
Pride42.09%
Angel City41.68%
Courage40.91%
Dash39.57%
Current39.24%
Louisville39.10%
Gotham38.97%
Wave38.53%
Thorns38.36%
Reign37.11%
Red Stars36.02%

As you’d expect, Washington’s two highest scorers (Trinity Rodman and Ashley Hatch) account for 12.69% and 11.46% of the Spirit’s total points. Sam Staab (9.41%) and Tara McKeown (8.59%) round out the top four, with Gabrielle Carle and Ashley Sanchez also recording over 8%. The main takeaway here is that all six of these players have a very high floor for fantasy scoring in any given week, and you probably want at least three Spirit on your team.

Orlando comes in second in terms of most concentrated fantasy scoring, and it’s primarily due to Kylie Strom (13.61% of the Pride’s points) and Adriana Leal da Silva (12.50%). We’ve talked about both players several times over the last couple of weeks, and this just reinforces how valuable they are in FNWSL. It’s a similar situation in LA, where another two players that we’ve discussed several times recently have a significant lead in highest percentage: Claire Emslie (12.52%) and Savannah McCaskill (11.04%). All four of these players are well-worth a roster spot on your fantasy team.

One very interesting aspect of this list is that Portland and OL Reign both appear near the bottom. Both teams have several FNWSL all-stars, but the sheer number of quality players on these two teams is a double-edged sword because the fantasy scoring is so spread out. This makes players on these teams more high-risk/high-reward then players on several of the other teams – keep this in mind when selecting your lineup!
