So far this season, we’ve covered several teams that have been racking up the FNWSL points: the power of the Portland offense, the value of the OL Reign defense, and the under-the-radar performance of the Spirit back line. But what team are we overlooking for fantasy value?

So far, it’s got to be Gotham. They are in fifth place with a positive goal differential, and with the most expensive player on the team being Kristie Mewis at only $250k, there’s plenty of upside to be found in New Jersey. Lynn Williams is the Gotham FNWSL MVP so far – her two goals on the season have put her in second place among all forwards, trailing only Sophia “Cheat Code” Smith (Williams has added another goal in the Challenge Cup as I’m writing this). In addition to having one of the coolest names in the NWSL, rookie Jenna Nighswonger has logged plenty of minutes and 18 fantasy points for only $75k. Don’t sleep on Mewis or Margaret Purce either – they’re a little more expensive but both have strong career track records and could return big value if Gotham’s renaissance continues throughout the season.
