The only double game round of the year (for Gotham and Portland). Our fifth TOTR of the season comes in at a low $2.425M for 229 points.
Esther González led the round with 25 points, maintaining the role of Captain for the second consecutive week and becoming the first player of the year so far to make a second appearance at the top of the Round’s leaderboard.
Fun Facts:
- This is the highest scoring TOTR so far this season (unsurprising given the double match, but even without the second game for Gotham and the Thorns, it would have been the second-highest scoring round this season); it is also the second-cheapest
- The extra game resulted in four changes to what would otherwise have been the TOTR: Two Thorns players (Caiya Hanks and Samantha Coffey) and two Gotham players (Jess Carter and Ann-Katrin Berger) overtook Maddie Dahlien, Ally Sentnor, Izzy Rodriguez, and Aubrey Kingsbury
- Debinha misses out on the TOTR for the first time this season
- This is almost a brand-new-to-the-TOTR lineup: González and K. Pickett make their second appearances, but everyone else is here for the first time!
