April is here, and that means it’s time for the first NWSL Team of the Month for 2025!
This one was a bit of a challenge – a lot of players living up to their value! The best eleven scorers overall (460 pts) cost a total of $3.475M and included 5 players from the Pride (as well as 4 from the Current). However, this isn’t a pure “Best of” list – when it comes to Team of the Round and Team of the Month, we have rules! When we take the roster-building rules into consideration, the March Team of the Month earned 449 points coming in at a price of $3.175 million.
Fun Facts:
- Debinha appeared on all three TOTRs this month; Chawinga and Cooper each appeared on two
- McCutcheon and Jacobs both make the TOTM without having appeared on a TOTR. While McCutcheon was in the top 11 scorers for Round 1, she didn’t make the TOTR because there were so many Pride players at the top that week. On the other hand, Jacobs consistently put in solid-but-not-standout performances
- Banda, Marta, Abello, Moultrie, Petersen, and Lorena each made one TOTR appearance this month

March Overall:
In March, we had 3 Rounds.
There were two TOTRs in a 4-3-3 and one 3-4-3.
12 of the league’s 14 teams have had at least one player appear in a TOTR. The two teams who have yet to be represented are Gotham and Angel City.
Each Round so far has had a different Captain: Barbra Banda, Karlie Lema, and Debinha.
The highest single score was Banda in Round 1, where she earned 28 points.
Kansas City is the only team that had at least one player on all three TOTRs in March.
