Halfway through the NWSL season, we’ve decided it’s time to take a look at the best XI of the year so far. This fantasy XI would have earned the most points overall without any changes made throughout the season. Maximizing the budget, these eleven players combined to earn 1473 points in the first thirteen games of the season.

Temwa Chawinga leads the group with 145 points, earning captain’s honors.

Fun Facts:

  • No TOTR or TOTM has landed at exactly $3.2M so far this year, until now!
  • The initial top eleven scorers were priced at $4.025M – four players (Ryan Williams, Esther González, Kylie Strom, and Delphine Cascarino) had to be traded out to fit this team into the budget
  • Kansas City is the best-represented NWSL team in the first half of the season – they have four players on this team!
  • Everyone on this list has made at least two TOTRs; Lundqvist is the only player who hasn’t made a TOTM
  • Five of the eleven players on this list made the TOTR for Round 13
