Arsenal will travel to The Hive to play Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 13th November, as
the first fixture of Women’s football weekend, the kick off being 1:30 pm UK time.

Match Preview

Tottenham will host Arsenal in the second North London Derby of the season as the two
sides have already played each other in September for the FA Cup Quarter Final, where
Arsenal beat Tottenham at The LV bet stadium 5-1. However in the Women’s Super League
Tottenham will play this game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United with Ria
Percival scoring an 95th minute equaliser cancelling out Alessia Russo’s opener. Arsenal
have scored 23 goals across the six league games so far, however Tottenham have only
conceded 4 goals this season, the second lowest in the league after Arsenal, with Shelina
Zadorsky and Mollie Bartrip proving to be a decent partnership so far who will look to stop an
Arsenal side who have scored at least 3 goal in all six of their league games.

Arsenal will travel to The Hive on the back of a 5-1 win in the Women’s Champions League
against HB Køge. Arsenal’s last Women’s Super League games was a 4-0 win at home
against West Ham with a brace from Kim Little, a goal from Beth Mead, and an own goal
from Grace Fisk. Sunday’s win against West Ham lengthened Arsenal’s perfect start in the
league and kept them at the top of the table, with Tottenham sitting third. The Women Super
leagues top scorer and Arsenal’s top scorer this Season is Kim Little scoring 6 in 6 in the
league, while playing in a more attacking midfield role will look to add to that goal tally.
Vivianne Miedema was on the Bench against West Ham after an extended leave granted by
Arsenal after the latest international break, has 5 league goals against Tottenham. If
Miedema starts will be one of Arsenal’s main threats in front of goal. Going into round 7 of
fixtures Beth Mead is currently the highest points scorer with 99 points and will look to cause
issues for the Tottenham defence.
