On October 23rd, the KC Current announced Vlatko Andonovski as their new Head Coach and Sporting Director.
At the end of October, Kansas City announced the signing of then-fifteen-year-old Alex Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer was signed to a three-year contract per U18 player regulations. Her contract begins in January 2024 and runs through the 2026 season.
Rookie defender Gabrielle Robinson signed a new three-year contract, announced on November 13th.
The Kansas City Current acquired $175,000 in allocation money and 2024 NWSL Expansion Draft protection on November 15th in a trade with Bay FC, in exchange for defender Alex Loera. This move made Loera the first announced player in Bay FC history.
As of the November 20th roster update, Kansas City has 20 players under contract through the 2024 season.
The team exercised the option for Claire Lavogez to remain under contract through 2024, and has extended a contract offer to defender Izzy Rodriguez.
Four players were waived by Kansas City:

- Rylan Childers
- Jenna Winebrenner
- Croix Soto

On December 12, KC received expansion draft protection and $75,000 in allocation money from the Utah Royals in a trade that sends defender Kate Del Fava and KC’s natural first-round 2024 draft pick (fourth overall) to Utah.

Defender Izzy Rodriguez is signed to a two-year contract through 2025.
December 14, 2023
17-year-old midfielder Claire Hutton is signed through the NWSL Under-18 Entry Mechanism to a three-year contract. She will turn 18 in January and not occupy a U18 roster spot during the 2024 season.
January 3, 2024
Forward and Malawi captain Temwa Chawinga signs a two-year contract with Kansas City.
January 11, 2024
Kansas City receives a 2024 International Roster Spot, sending midfielder Morgan Gautrat and $50,000 in allocation money to the Orlando Pride.
January 12, 2024 – NWSL Draft Day
Kansas City made three selections in the 2024 NWSL Draft:

- No. 32, goalkeeper Halle Mackiewicz, Clemson University

January 17, 2024
Kansas City acquires forward Nichelle Prince from the Houston Dash, in exchange for forward Cece Kizer and a 2024 International Roster Spot.

Olympian and World Cup Champion Sam Mewis announces her retirement, she is no longer a free agent.
January 22, 2024
The Kansas City Current have signed Beatriz Zaneratto João to a contract through the 2024 season with a club option for 2025, pending the receipt of her P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
The Current also announced the signing of free agent midfielder Bayley Feist to a two-year contract through the 2025 season.
These signings bring the total number of players under contract with Kansas City for the 2024 season to 23.
January 23, 2024
Kansas City traded goalkeeper Cassie Miller to NJ/NY Gotham FC in exchange for $70,000 in allocation money and $30,000 in intra-league transfer funds. Per Kansas City, Miller was a restricted free agent and signed a one-year contract through the 2024 season to facilitate the trade.
January 24, 2024
The Kansas City Current have re-signed free agent midfielder Desiree Scott to a one-year contract through 2024.
January 26, 2024
The Current and forward Mimmi Larsson have agreed to mutually terminate her contract with the club.
As of January 26, 2024, the total number of players under contract with Kansas City remains at 23.

Defender Mallory Weber signs with KC on a one-year contract
January 30, 2024
Midfielder Sophie Braun and defender Regan Steigleder both sign with Kansas City through 2024 with an option for 2025.
As of January 30, 2024, there are 26 players under contract with Kansas City.
January 31, 2024
Midfielder Lo’eau LaBonta signed a new contract with the Current to stay in KC through 2025.
February 22, 2024
Two U-18 players have been added to Kansas City’s preseason roster, midfielder Mary Long and goalkeeper Molly Vapensky.

Kansas City has signed 2024 NWSL Draft picks defender Ellie Wheeler and goalkeeper Hope Hisey through the 2024 season with options for the 2025 season.
There are now 28 players under contract with the Kansas City Current for 2024, including those with season-ending injuries.

Goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz has been recalled from her loan to the Brisbane Roar of the Liberty A-League in Australia.

The Kansas City Current released their final roster for the start of the season. This roster includes 24 active players.
