In perhaps the most surprising result of Round 3, Chicago erupted for four goals in their first game without Mal Swanson – more than doubling their season total. We do have to take this performance with a small grain of salt, as the Red Stars expected goal total in the match was 0.66, but it does appear that there is definitely still fantasy value to be found in Chicago.

I hope everyone took my advice to play Penelope Hocking (instead of doing what I did and transferring her in but leaving her on the bench 😬) – she scored twice in the 2nd half. She should definitely be a great (and low-cost) option at forward for the foreseeable future. Also, consider Ella Stevens, who opened the scoring and later assisted Hocking’s first goal while logging 82 minutes. Cheyna Matthews saw a big jump in minutes too. She assisted Hocking’s second goal and could have recorded the fourth Chicago goal that was later classified as a KC own goal. For now, get Hocking on your roster and keep an eye on the rest of the Red Stars forwards!
