The absence of the majority of the World Cup players appeared to have an immediate effect on fantasy scoring, as Round 14 was the lowest-scoring week of the season so far. Round 14 saw some surprising results, including 1-0 wins by Kansas City and Chicago over Portland and San Diego, respectively. 

So today, let’s overreact to Round 14 and assess the one-week sample size of FNWSL minus World Cup players. We now have a reasonably good idea of how various NWSL teams will approach the next few rounds and can use that info for our fantasy teams. 

Round 15 kicks off Friday night with the ORL-OLR matchup (or ORL-RGN if you prefer to be less confusing/fun), so make sure to have your team saved early!
